Vacation Camps are held during February and April school vacation weeks at area camps that provide us with lake access. Want to get your kids outside and away from the TV and X-Box? Then The Friends Vacation Camps are just the ticket!
Both day camps are geared for children in grades 3-5, with (2) separate 2-day sessions held during February and April school vacation weeks. Each day centers around a different theme and introduces campers to activities like fishing (both ice and open water), snowshoeing, animal tracking, hiking, pond life and many other ecology related activities and games. Campers are responsible for their own transportation and lunch, and space is limited. Friends staff are assisted by subject-matter experts provided by the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, Department of Environmental Protection , AmeriCorps, local educators and personnel from local sporting & outdoor businesses.
