On Saturday, October 17, local writer Sherry Hanson will teach a one-day class from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on how to get stories, articles, essays and poetry published. This class will give participants the fundamentals of getting their work published, including finding markets for their work, preparation of manuscripts and approaching editors and publishers. Students will write a query in class.
The workshop will meet at Gardiner City Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Several handouts will be provided, including a list of helpful web sites, a growing list of publishers and copies of successful query letters. Call, or visit www.msad11.org/adulted for more info.
