Participants, Sponsors, and Volunteers Are Needed to Support Event
Start the merry-making season off with the 25th Annual Holiday Parade in Winthrop on Saturday, December 5 at 4 pm. (Storm date: Sunday, December 6.) This traditional, family-oriented event is a celebration of the community spirit and the holiday season. In addition to the parade itself, many activities occur in and around Downtown Winthrop on the day of the parade, including craft fairs, open houses, tree sales, and special holiday activities organized by local businesses.
There will be plenty of opportunities to participate in the 25th Annual Holiday Parade which is coordinated by the Winthrop Area Chamber of Commerce with major sponsorship by the Winthrop Area Federal Credit Union.
Floats, marching bands, and other participants, as well as sponsors and volunteers are all needed to make the 25th annual holiday parade something truly special. New this year is a change to the parade route, which will start on Highland Avenue and then turn onto Main Street.
Marching Bands/Musical Groups: To make the 25th anniversary parade especially remarkable, marching bands and musical groups are being recruited.
Floats/Participants: As in past years, all are invited to participate by entering a float or marching as a business, club, scout troop, or other organization.
Sponsors: Support in the form of sponsorship has helped to make the parade happen for decades. The business, individual, or organization name of parade sponsors is listed in all parade-related advertising.
Volunteers: Volunteers are needed to help organize and promote the holiday parade.
