Maine author, Ronna Flaschner, will do a reading and book discussion at Lithgow Public Library on Saturday, January 23 at 10 a.m. in the library’s historic Reading Room. Flaschner’s first novel, Templates, was recently published by Osiail Publishing.

The program is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

Templates is about patterns of relationships as seen through generations of mothers and daughters. Reacting to her husband’s affair, Sara flees her secure life in suburban Boston, uprooting her two children and moving into a family lake house in New Hampshire. There, Sara’s life reels in unanticipated directions.

Flaschner worked for two decades directing programs for pregnant and parenting teens in Massachusetts.  She did her graduate work in counseling psychology at Boston University and at the Cambridge Family Institute.  She lives with her husband in New Hampshire and is the mother of two grown children.
