Gardiner business owner and Mitchell supporter, Mary Weiss held a rally Friday for the candidate at her gallery located on Water Street. According to Weiss, Senator Mitchell offers decades of experience in state government and strengths as an intelligent, inclusive communicator and a candidate who is very much willing and able to take on the tasks that need to be addressed to insure Maine will survive and prosper through these very challenging times.
Mitchell told people in attendance that she needs a lot help from everyday working people to fund her Clean Elections Campaign.

Mitchell said that in order for people to participate in her Clean Elections Campaign: you’ll need to become a registered voter, sign her petition, contribute to her campaign and help spread the word. Senator Mitchell needs to collect thousands of $5 contributions to qualify for clean election funds. Here’s how you can contribute on-line:
1. Visit www.maine.gov/ethics/mcea
2. At the bottom left corner, click on “Qualifying Contributions”
3. At the bottom of that page, select “Make a Qualifying Contribution to a Candidate and click “go”
4. Follow the directions.
Weiss said that everyone in attendance were all very excited about the Mitchell Campaign for Governor. Weiss said, “we should be. Senator Mitchell is willing to tirelessly pound the pavement, look you in the eye and ask you for your vote! One vote at a time at $5 a pop. Absolutely amazing!”
