Almost Home Rescue of Maine said they were so happy that “Dillon“ (pictured lying down) has found his forever home and thanks Bruce for adopting a shelter dog.
Bruce said, “I picked Dillon up yesterday, he has settled in nicely in his new home, his new sister Abby and the cats! At first he was a bit intimidated by the cats but since they are not afraid of dogs they bond nicely with each other.” I am sooo lucky!, Bruce said.
The Valley Voice knows that Maine shelters are full of pets that are simply looking for a new home. They depend on our compassion when it comes to their life and their future. It is my hope and the hope of thousands of animal lovers that would be pet owners learn to look to the shelters first for their pets. There are plenty of pets of all ages that equal pets offered by breeders and retail pet stores.
If you need some convincing, take a trip to your local animal shelter, walk past the cages of abandoned or unwanted pets. I know from experience that your view about choosing you next pet will be based on what you see in their kennels and cages.
