Uncle Jack a Central Maine band that began touring in the mid 90′s. There philosophy was to realize big expectations – one little step at a time. Original rock music was the primary genre. During the 90’s Uncle Jack performed in clubs sometimes as much as four nights a week. They were also noted for their performances at festivals and opening up for national acts throughout the Northeast. They recorded and released two CD’s (one under the privately owned record label “DEADBOX RECORDS” and the nationally released ADHESIVE CD released by the Indie label BACKSTREET RECORDS). Uncle Jack had a broad fan base as a result of radio air play before the days of the internet.
A decade later, Uncle Jack has a lot to prove to themselves as well as their old and new fans. But, The band expects the challenge will be fun and the anticipation of expectations will grow!
Uncle Jack has been working hard in preparation for their May 1st gig at Club Texas in Auburn. All the while they are getting merchandise set, a possible compilation CD, photos, new songs/lyrics and all of the items needed to be an accomplished rock band in 2010. The band members appreciate all of the support they have been receiving and are stoked that Uncle Jack has made it to #3 on the local charts of reverbnation.com/unclejack. The won’t be happy until the #1 position has become a reality.
Band members include: Scott Labbe – Lead Vocals; Ted Warner – Lead Guitar; Marc Deraps – Bass; Mike Stevens – Drums. New Bassist Marc Deraps is doing great! He has mastered ten Uncle Jack songs thus far… ten more to go and then it will be time for ALL NEW SONGS!. Uncle Jack will be back in studio before you know it.
