On April 21, 2012 at 7:30pm L/A Arts will host the hysterical improve musical comedy, Broadway’s Next H!t Musical. The show is being presented at the Franco American Heritage Center, located at 46 Cedar St., Lewiston. The New York Times calls Broadway’s Next H!T Musical “Hilarious!” Time Out NY says “At last! A musical of, for, and by the people.” Broadway’s Next H!t Musical abandons the same ol’ song and dance to create a brand new, fully improvised musical comedy every week. Every lyric, melody and jazz hand is made up on the spot, energetic and absolutely hilarious. Be part of the improvised musical comedy you’re bound to love-after all you created it!

The second annual Lewiston Auburn Film Festival (LAFF) is going to be a three-day extravaganza, April 13 – 15, complete with opening night festivities, a full day of films in downtown L/A, top-notch awards show, brunch, and filmmaker panels! Based on the success of last year’s event, where more than 1,000 festival goers attended screenings of 100+ films from all over the world, the staff at LAFF has been working hard to make LAFF 2012 bigger, better and on par with festivals found in larger, more well-known cities. We’re happy to report that LAFF 2012 is going to do just that.
We’re digging deep in the crates for this party to pull out the classics, the dancefloor rockers, and the jams that have made the floor move for decades. Our musical selectors for the evening, VJ Pulse and DJ Hanzo, will be mixing the music, blending old and new, fresh and funky, classic and contemporary. Old school funk, soul, and disco meet early hip hop, FM radio and MTV pop, party jams, dancefloor movers, and fresh-from-the-charts new hits.
