The Downtown Sounds concert on May 18 featuring Cathy Kreger has been cancelled, as Ms. Kreger’s tour route has changed. We hope that she will be able to join us in the studio in the future.

Academy Award winner for Best Foreign Language Film, A Separation is an utterly compelling and profound film about the dissolution of a marriage in contemporary Iran. Nader (Peyman Moadi) and Simin (Leila Hatami) have been married for fourteen years and live with their eleven-year-old daughter Termeh in Tehran. Simin wants to leave Iran to provide better opportunities for her daughter.

You can bring your lunch or stop and pick up food at a local shop. This is a great opportunity to get inspired and get to know your local artists while on your lunch break. All members of the public are invited to bring their lunch and discover the work of great local artist.
The Winthrop Drama Club competed March 9 and 10 in the One Act Regional Drama Festival at Skowhegan High School. Winthrop won the Class B division with the play Queen of TE, a show written by their director David Setchell. Winthrop will now go on to compete in the Class B State Drama Festival at Yarmouth High School on March 23 and 24. Winthrop will perform on Friday evening in the 6PM block.
On view through March at the Harlow Gallery as a complimentary exhibit to our student art exhibitions, is Callithump!, an art vending machine project by Jess and Matt LeClair of Bangor. Since 2006, the Callithump! vending machines have distributed thousands of creative works by dozens of creators in locations in Maine and New Hampshire. Their latest releases are The Protos and Art This, both available now at the Harlow Gallery.

He’s honed his craft since then to take the kind of iconic Maine photos only a native can capture. MONMOUTH, ME: Theater at Monmouth is proud to announce its 43rd season: A Season of Family. Plays of the 2012 season focus on family, community, and a sense of coming into one’s own. For some, this journey of discovery works out well; for others it is disastrous. Theater at Monmouth presents a summer of classic stories from the pens of theatre’s greatest playwrights. Beginning July 5th, Theater at Monmouth will open a new show every Friday for the month of July.
See the best short films of the year! Both programs feature a dynamic array of subject’s and styles, and were produced by filmmakers from all over the world! Each program will run for one screening only, and both programs will include five short films including the 2012 Academy Award winners ‘The Shore’ from Northern Ireland (Live Action) and ‘The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore’ from the US (Animated). The Animated program is an especially fun event for the whole family!
