ART NIGHT SCOOP: Jes is cleaning out her studio and is bringing a crazy collection of paint, glue, ephemera, glitter, glazes, inks, canvases, old boards, found objects & MORE! WHAT CAN YOU BRING? Other then yourselves, paint brushes, easle (if you need one), canvas, and a lighting unit. You are also welcome to bring and make your own personal craft! (knitting, jewelry, etc.)

The public is invited to the Harlow Gallery at 160 Water Street in downtown Hallowell on Thursday, April 26th at 7 pm for a FREE screening of Lubec Arts Alive !. The film by the award winning television and film producer Jon Wing Lum, documents a week of community-inspired art organized by the Union of Maine Visual Artists in Lubec, Maine in 2009.

This presentation, by retired teacher Larry Morrissette, looks at some key findings taken from books in the Hubbard Free Library collection that can add to anyone’s parenting tool kit.

Trisha Mason will be in the house this Saturday, April 7th. Trisha Mason has a batch of crowd pleasing cover tunes, however she has an even larger collection of original material with hook laden and ear pleasing compositions that dominate her solo shows. Her songs have been described as quote “Existential Soul Candy” and she wheres her heart on her sleeve at every performance, catch Trisha Solo or with her co-founded Band The Larks or, perhaps, The Drunken Sailors.
