Anne Heche’s ex Coley Laffoon says their son Homer is ‘strong’ in emotional message: ‘I’ve got our son’

Anne Heche’s ex-husband Coley Laffoon said their son Homer, 20, is “strong” and will be “OK” in an emotional message after her death on Friday.

“I loved her and I miss her and I always will,” Laffoon said in a video on Instagram. “Homer is okay. He’s grieving, of course. It’s tough, it’s really tough as probably anyone can imagine. But he’s surrounded by family and he’s strong and he’ll be fine.”

Laffoon thanked those who checked in to see how he and Homer fared during Heche’s hospitalization following a fiery car accident in Los Angeles on Aug. 5 and her death on Friday.

“You check in, show us your heart, offer prayers and all, so beautiful, thank you,” Laffoon said. “It’s hard for me, it’s hard for my family, it’s hard for Homer. But we have each other and we have a lot of support and we’ll be fine.”

Laffoon and Heche were married from 2001-2009.

The “Six Days, Seven Nights” actress was put into a coma a week ago after her car crashed into a house in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles last Friday. She was suspected of driving under the influence.

Heche suffered “serious” brain injuries after the crash and was pronounced brain dead on Friday.

“Anne is probably — I’d like to think she’s free from pain and enjoying or experiencing what’s next on her journey,” Laffoon continued. “She came in warm and she had a lot to say.”

He continued while holding back tears: “She was brave and fearless and loved very much and was never afraid to let us know what she thinks and what she believed in, and it was always love. It was all about love. So, Goodbye Anne I love you Thank you Thank you for all the good times There were so many And goodbye on the other side In the meantime I have our son He will be fine.

Homer Laffoon is Heche’s eldest son.

She also has a son, Atlas, 13, with actor James Tupper, who she was with from 2007 to 2018.

Homer paid tribute to his mother on Friday. “My brother Atlas and I have lost our mother. After six days of almost unbelievable emotional swings, I am left with a deep, wordless grief. Hopefully my mother is free of pain and begins to explore what I like to envision as her eternal freedom,” Homer said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“In those six days, thousands of friends, family and fans have made their hearts known to me. I am grateful for their love, as well as for the support of my father, Coley and my stepmother Alexi, who is still my rock during this time Rest in peace, Mom, I love you, Homer,” the statement concluded.
