ORIGINAL STORY 11/29/22:December’s PlayStation Plus Essential games are Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Biomutant and Divine Knockout.
That reports the reliable source Dealabs, which routinely leaks the list of games in advance.
These games will reportedly come to PlayStation’s Essential subscription level on December 6, where they will remain until January 3.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition is the recent re-release of the trilogy of the series, where players take on the role of Commander Shepard. When first announcing the game, BioWare boss Casey Hudson said that the team’s goal with this Legendary Edition was “not to recreate or reinvent the original games, but to modernize the experience so that fans and new players can experience the original work in its best possible form.”.
Meanwhile, in Biomutant, players will take on the role of a mammalian warrior who must do what they can to save the Tree of Life. In Eurogamer’s review of the game, Malindy described it as “an open-world adventure wrestling with its own ambitions”.
While praising areas such as the huge map, which Malindy says often looks “exquisite”, she felt that “every feature falls victim to the maxim of quantity over quality”.
Finally, we have Divine Knockout. Set in a “stylized world of gods and mythology”, this 3D platform fighter comes from Red Beard Games. You can see a little teaser of it in the video above.
These new additions mean this is your last chance to pick up November’s selection of games: Nioh 2, Lego Harry Potter Collection and Heavenly Bodies.
We’ll update this story when Sony makes the list official.
