Harry’s great-uncle Teddy Williams posted on Facebook: ‘This handsome young fellow is my nephew Harry. He would have been only 14 on January 12, 2023.

“He was shot down on the East Lancs Road on Wednesday and the life support machine is now off and Harry has got his wings back. My whole family is obviously devastated. Harry is my sister’s grandson.

He added: “I don’t know how we are going to go on from here, but we have to be strong and our lives have to go on. Harry will be young forever.’

Detective Andy Roper, from Merseyside Police’s matrix investigation unit, said: ‘Harry’s family is supported by specially trained family detectives as our investigation continues and our thoughts are with them at this sad time.
