France will meet Morocco at the Al Bayt stadium on Wednesdaywith history at stake for both sides. The Atlas Lions are already the first African and Arab nation to reach their podium, while Les Bleus could reach back-to-back finals after their victory in Russia in 2018. The Moroccans have overcome Spain and Portugal to get here, while the French sawed off Poland and then England. Our experts prefer Didier Deschamps’ defending champion.

France vs. France Predictions Morocco
One match to watch: Aurelien Tchouameni scored a stunning opening goal against the Three Lions last Saturday and the Real Madrid man will be needed if France are to win the midfield battle at Al Khor. Aided by Adrien Rabiot, the 22-year-old has done very well in Qatar so far and now faces arguably his toughest challenge yet with the in-form Sofyan Amrabat. Azzedine Ounahi also took excellent care of the Moroccans Amrabat against Tchouameni is perhaps the showdown here.
Most likely to score a goal: After being chained against England, Kylian Mbappe will be keen to make up for lost time and add to his five goals in this tournament. The Paris Saint-Germain superstar takes on club-mate Achraf Hakimi on Wednesday and may have a few chances given the way Hakimi likes to come forward, leaving room. Olivier Giroud and Youssef En Nesyri are both solid bets, but Mbappé is the favorite to score at least once.
Pick man of the match: Considering his creativity for France lately, Antoine Griezmann is a good shout given how much is flowing through him. Amrabat and Ounahi have been joined by Romain Saiss and Sofiane Boufal who have performed extremely well this winter and it could be that French captain Hugo Loris is required to put in a great performance between the sticks to get the zero of Les Blues to keep intact.
