How to pre-order Hogwarts Legacy — including the pricey collector’s edition

Date:

After being shrouded in mystery for so long, concrete details about Hogwarts Legacy are finally starting to surface. First we got a long gameplay presentation in March and earlier this week we got a brand new trailer focused on the Dark Arts.

The open-world RPG set in the Harry Potter universe will be released on February 10, 2023 and will launch on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. A Nintendo Switch version is also coming at an unspecified later date. Now that the highly anticipated game has a firm release date, details about Hogwarts Legacy’s pre-orders have also surfaced.

The game will be released in multiple physical editions, including a fancy Deluxe and Collector’s Edition. Those who prefer to buy their games digitally also have the choice between two editions. Beginning Thursday, August 25 at 11:00 a.m. ET, the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition and Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition are now available for pre-order. All the buying links you’ll need are below, so hop on your broomstick and get your pre-order locked now.

What’s in the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition?

The Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition (opens in new tab) will be released across platforms and cost $80/£75 on PS5 and Xbox Series X, $70/£75 on PS4 and Xbox One and $70/£60 on PC and Nintendo Switch.

This premium version of Hogwarts Legacy offers 72 hours early access to the game, so you can start playing on February 7, 2023. Plus, you’ll also get a range of in-game goodies like the Dark Arts Pack. This DLC pack includes an exclusive Dark Arts cosmetic set, a flying Thestral mountain, and access to the Dark Arts Battle Arena where you can test your mastery of the sinister side of magic against waves of challenging enemies.

There will also be a Hogwarts Legacy Digital Deluxe Edition that will cost $80/£75 across platforms. It includes the same extras as its physical counterpart, in addition to the Dark Arts Garrison Hat and a cross-gen digital upgrade on PlayStation and Xbox. If you’re planning on planning Hogwarts Legacy for different console generations, this is the version for you, as as was previously revealed, the standard edition doesn’t come with a free upgrade.

What’s in the Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition?

Wannabe wizards may want to splurge on the expensive Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition. This ultra-premium version of the game costs $289 / £269 on PC and PS4 / Xbox One, and a dazzling $300 / £279 on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

The Collector’s Edition includes all of the Deluxe Edition content mentioned above, as well as a physical life-size floating wand with a book base that will look quite epic. It also includes a collectible steelbook case and in-game Kelpie Robe to equip your character. We expect this edition to be relatively scarce, so you’ll want to get your pre-order soon as they go live tomorrow.
