Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have settled their divorce… TMZ has learned.
The former husband and wife have resolved both child custody and property issues.
Under the settlement, Kim and Kanye will have joint custody with “equal access” to their 4 children. While the documents say equal access, sources with direct knowledge tell us that Kim will give the kids the lion’s share of the time. Even Kanye has acknowledged that Kim already has the kids 80% of the time.
Under the settlement, Kanye will pay Kim $200,000 a month in child support. Our sources say that Kanye isn’t paying the child support bill — that’s just his share. In addition, he is responsible for 50% of their children’s education costs, including school fees. He is also responsible for 50% of their children’s security costs.
This is interesting… if there is ever a dispute over the kids, Kim and Kanye agree that they will participate in mediation. If one of them doesn’t participate, the other gets the decision in a dispute by default. Not hard to read between the lines.
As for the $200,000…it expires on the first day of each month and should be credited to her account.
As for real estate, the distribution of assets is in accordance with their prenuptial agreement. And according to the prenuptial agreement, both Kim and Kanye waived spousal support.
Our sources say Kim has been walking on a tightrope for the past year, with Kanye going off the rails and refusing to participate in resolving the divorce. TMZ broke the story… Kim filed for divorce in February 2021 after 7 years of marriage. The divorce stalled because Kanye refused to participateand Kim went to court last March to get an official decision ending the marriagewith both custody and ownership to be resolved at a later date.
The settlement came Monday, the night Kanye was due to make his statement in case the case went to trial next month.
