Burgess gave birth to her first child with boyfriend Brian Austin Green this year and the professional dancer isn’t ready to stay away from the newborn. However, Burgess hinted that she will be in the reality competition “in some capacity” and there have been talks about how she might appear.

“I am at 100% capacity with my body, I feel fit, I feel strong, I am so ready to dance. I’m about to hit the gym now,” she continued. “We’re going to talk about what that means and how I can be a part of it [DWTS] but I wasn’t ready to be away from Zane for at least 10 hours a day.”

Burgess noted that she said she would be away from her son for 10 hours “because it’s not just room time, it’s travel time, it’s prep time, it’s hair and makeup time. Sunday and Mondays are full days gone I’m a full time breastfeeding mom and not only that, I’m so in love with just being a mom.”

The DWTS Competitor said she loved everything she knows is coming in the new season, but wanted to spend time with her newborn because she “may never get these moments back” watching her son grow up.

Dancing with the stars premieres on Disney+ on September 19.
