Megyn Kelly lashed out at “disgusting, shameful billionaire” Kim Kardashian for not cutting ties with high-end fashion brand Balenciaga in the wake of the controversial photo shoot in which young children hold dolls outfitted in BDSM clothing.
Kelly told her Sirius XM audience tuning in on Tuesday on “The Megyn Kelly Show” that Kardashian is guilty because she “refuses to break away from the brand, even though she’s a billionaire.”
“She’s a disgusting, shameful billionaire because the money is worth more to her than her morals and the protection of these kids,” Kelly said.
The former Fox News star said the Balenciaga photo shoot amounts to “sexualization of children” and that it is “tantastic to pedophiles”.
The Post has solicited comment from Kardashian’s reps.
The high-end fashion brand — whose roster of celebrity endorsers includes A-listers like Kardashian, Dua Lipa, Ye (the rapper aka Kanye West) and Hailey Bieber — has come under fire for the controversial photo shoot.
The shoot included footage of two young girls holding stuffed animals, dressed in bondage attire.
In one photo, a red-haired girl can be seen wearing a Balenciaga T-shirt while holding a white teddy bear. The doll was dressed in a vest with a padlocked choker around his neck.
Another image shows a brunette child brandishing a purple stuffed animal adorned with similar BDSM clothing.
Kardashian broke her silence earlier this week after she and other celebrities were criticized for not speaking out and condemning the brand.
The reality TV star said she was “re-evaluating” her relationship with Balenciaga after being left “shocked by disturbing images”.
“I’ve been quiet for the past few days, not because I wasn’t disgusted and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted the chance to talk to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened. 42- old mogul began her lengthy Twitter thread.
“As a mother of four, I am shocked by the disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society – period,” she continued.
“I appreciate Balenciaga’s removal from the campaigns and apologies. By talking to them, I believe they understand the seriousness of the problem and will take the necessary steps to ensure that this never happens again.”
“As far as my future at Balenciaga is concerned, I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, based on their willingness to take responsibility for something that should never have happened to begin with – and the actions I expect them to take. take action to protect children,” she ends the thread.
Balenciaga removed the ad campaign and issued an apology.
“Our plush bear bags should not have been included with children in this campaign,” the fashion house said in a statement.
“We have immediately removed the campaign from all platforms.”
Kelly has been a frequent critic of Kardashian. She accused her family of being a “force for evil” because they flaunt “unparalleled vanity.”
