‘Multiple fatalities’ in fiery Maine crash, state troopers say

There were “multiple fatalities” when a vehicle carrying students from the Maine Maritime Academy crashed into a tree on Saturday and burst into flames, authorities said. A spokesman for the state police declined to say how many people were killed and whether any of them were students. The bodies were taken to the state physician’s office in Augusta.
