Ahead of one of the busiest travel weeks of the year, Sheetz has a big deal for travelers. Video above from June: Sheetz slashes some gas prices for a limited time The chain drops the price of unleaded 88 to $1.99 a gallon through Nov. 28 According to the AAA, the average gas cost in Pennsylvania is $4.02. “Sheetz is a family-owned and operated business, and everything we do is centered around giving back to our customers and the communities in which we live,” said the president. and CEO Travis Sheetz. “We hope this price reduction provides much-needed relief at the pump for our customers as they travel for the Thanksgiving holiday.” The price will be available at the 368 Sheetz stores that carry Lead Free 88. 88 via the Sheetz mobile app or sheetz.com. Sheetz said unleaded 88 is approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for use in all 2001 and newer cars, trucks and SUVs. The only difference in the composition of Lead Free 88 and 87 is their percentage of ethanol. Lead Free 88 contains 5% more ethanol than Lead Free 87.
