Snowy day across central Iowa

Snow wraps in, cold moves in

TALKING ABOUT THE NEXT EIGHT DAYS OR SO. SO IT’S SO HARD I MEAN WE HAVE THE COLD. YES, WE ARE IN THE COLD. IT’S THE UPPER MIDWEST. AS WE GET INTO THE REST OF THE DAY TODAY, WE HAVE BEEN GETTING WELL, ON NOW A LOT OF CLOUDS. AND I THINK THOSE CLOUDS WILL REMAIN ALL TONIGHT TONIGHT. WE MAY STILL FLY A FEW SNOWFLAKES OVER THE METRO AREA AS WE GO INTO THE EVENING. WE HAVE ONE SNOW BUILDING NOW MOVED TO PARTS OF FORT DODGE OUT TO BOONE COUNTY, ALSO GREEN COUNTY. BY PERRY. YOU SEE A LITTLE LIGHT SNOW BEFORE DINNER HOUR BUT THAT’S ABOUT IT. SOME SNOWFLAKES FLY OR TRY TO FLY IN PARTS OF WESTERN MOINES TO WAUKEE BY METERS, UP THROUGH PLACES LIKE PERRY, AS I MENTION, GRANGER. AND THEN WHEN THIS MEETS, WE’RE PUSHING TO WESTERN PARTS OF POLK COUNTY HERE AS WE GET INTO THE NEXT 20 TO 30 MINUTES. SO EVERYONE HERE CAN SEE SOME SNOWFLAKES TONIGHT. AGAIN, MOST ROADS. OKAY. BUT IF THERE ARE SECONDARY ROADS THAT DO SEE A LITTLE OF SNOW LATER THIS EVENING, IT COULD PROVIDE EARLY SLOTS TOMORROW MORNING. TONIGHT WE STAY UNDER THE FREE. FOR MANY PLACES WE ARE IN THE TWENTYOURS, ESPECIALLY IN THE WESTERN PARTS OF THE STATE. FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURE, A WIND CHILL ON NOW IN THE LOW 20S TO UPPER TEENS. SO IT’S A COLD NIGHT AHEAD. BUNDLE OUT AND OVER TONIGHT. TOMORROW MORNING WILL BE ANOTHER COLD START. TEMPERATURES HERE TONIGHT ARE FALLING BACK INTO THE HIGH MID TWENTIES AND THERE MAY BE A FEW CHANCE OF SOME LATE SNOW EARLY TOMORROW TOMORROW. THAT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE MUCH BUILD-UP BUT WE HAVE SOME MOISTURE LEFT THAT THE FIRST PART OF YOUR DAY IS STILL HANGING AROUND ON WEDNESDAY. SADLY, THE HIGH TEMPERATURES CONTINUE TO DROP HERE AS WE ENTER THE WORK WEEK, I THINK TOMORROW, AROUND 30 DEGREES THURSDAY. THEN IT GETS EVEN COLDER AS WE MOVE IN WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES ON FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. THE 20 IS HERE FOR FRIDAY AFTERNOON. SO NORMALLY A LITTLE BELOW NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR TYPICAL OR WE ARE IN THE TOP FORTY SO WE STAY IN THE TWENTY, IN THE THIRTY IN AT LEAST THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. FUTURE CAST LOOKS LIKE THIS. THE SNOWBUILDINGS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE EAST TONIGHT AS THAT SYSTEM LEAVES. YOU WILL SEE A LITTLE LITTLE OF MOISTURE THAT HAD GONE HERE OVER THE NORTH CENTRAL PORTIONS OF THE STATE AND IN EASTERN IOWA BY TOMORROW EARLY MORNING. THIS IS AROUND 4 AM SO WE HAVE A FEW SNOW BUILDINGS. AGAIN, DON’T LOOK FOR ACCUMULATION. SNOW BUILDINGS MUST BE FAIRLY LIGHT IN NATURE. AND HALF THE MORNING THEY ARE GONE FROM HERE. SO BUT WE HAVE A LOT OF CLOUDS HERE DURING WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. A CLOUDY, COLD DAY ON WEDNESDAY. AND THEN WE’LL SEE A LITTLE SUNSHINE ON THURSDAY. BUT THOSE TAKE UP POINTS THURSDAY AFTERNOON. WE’RE LOOKING FOR A COLD END OF THE WORK WEEK WITH TEMPERATURES UP TO TWENTY. SO TONIGHT, LOW TO MIDDLE TWENTIES IN THE STATE, A FEW SNOWFLAKES MAY BE MADE BY THE TIME YOU WAKE UP TOMORROW, THE CHILDREN GO TO SCHOOL. A COLD BEGINNING AFTERNOON HOURS. WE STAY AROUND 30 DEGREES. SO TOMORROW’S FORECAST MOST OF US RIGHT ON THAT FREE MARK OR UNDER IT, SLIGHTLY WARMER AS YOU GO TO EAST IWA TOMORROW AFTERNOON ON A FORECAST SEE THIS BREEZE BEFORE THURSDAY IT WILL FEEL A LITTLE COLDER THAN IT ACTUALLY IS 20 ON THE BOARD THERE FOR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTLY LOWS ARE GETTING PRETTY CLOSE TO SINGLE-DIGIT TERRITORY THERE ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY MORNING, WE STAY IN THE THIRTY THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND. AND THEN IT FINALLY SEEMS WE MADE A LITTLE WARM-UP BEFORE
