Storm damage reported in metro Des Moines after hail storm

um, and we’re, like Trey said, that’s a great point. We begin to see the radar light up. I mean, if you can maybe see some of this hail that’s around, that’s pretty remarkable. We measured hail about an inch and a half in diameter with temperatures that are quite warm. Yes, at the end the camera may be rotated, you can see the hail accumulation on the valley side. Um Considerable amount of hail given the storm that passed here. It took us about 20-30 minutes to get here and then we received the first report and we see this big buildup of hail with temperatures that have been in the 80’s with some very heavy rain coming down. That’s just a testament to how big these rocks were when they came down. uh, do you see it now? We got it. Um, we’re trying to confirm some reports here in high school about damage, but we’re not seeing any first responders. We don’t see anything like that, but we do see a significant number of cars in this parking lot and do a scan of these vehicles. It appears there are no shattered windshields at this time. uh, what’s that? Broken sunroof. Okay, so Tyler um, he reports that he is driving with us that there is a broken sunroof and we now see that we are starting to see significant damage to this vehicle and can skip. Consider *** second pan past, continue. You can see the rear window, the rear window thrown out with those hailstones. Um, so one vehicle has obviously suffered some damage, looks like there is no structural damage to the building. From this side where we’ve seen two of the two sides of the building so far, the corner will turn and we’ll see the third side coming up shortly, but we’re entering one of these next thunderstorms that will have some significant rainfall and if we get the turning the corner, we now see three of the four sides of the building and at this point there is no structural damage that we can see from here. But then again, you just saw live on KCCI Some of the damage from windows that were shattered and I see another one that is shattered here and may pan off to the left of this. Um The insight there. That haunting insight. So yeah, we’re going to do that, we’re going to go back and show you this vehicle right here. Um Yes, the red one here on the side to see the intensity of this hail. Um So and will go over to see this Honda insight. The rear window flew out, you see, you can see this, you might be able to see some of that hail in the background *** vehicle driving on the road right now there’s a *** sail over the sunroof. So obviously there was a vehicle on Valley West Drive that was damaged and they put the tarp on it
