Ring camera footage shows a California Highway Patrol captain, whose death is being investigated along with her husband’s murder, steal his dog from his girlfriend’s home in Tennessee. Julie Harding, the CHP Yuba-Sutter commander, was found dead Saturday in her Tennessee, two days after both she and the man accused of killing her husband, Michael Harding, were arrested on separate charges. Murfreesboro police said Julie was arrested for stalking and breaking and entering Michael’s girlfriend’s home. In October, the woman who was dating Michael filed two separate arrest warrants for Julie with the Murfreesboro Police Department. The video shows how Julie grabbed the dog by the collar and left the house, after which the woman filed a report. Julie has been with CHP since 1999 and became commander of the Yuba-Sutter division in 2018. It is not known if someone shot Julie or if the gunshot wounds were self-inflicted, officials said. Meanwhile, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said it helped Kentucky authorities arrest Thomas Francis O’Donnell at Sacramento International Airport in connection with Michael’s death. He is now awaiting extradition to Kentucky, where Michael was found shot to death in September. Kentucky State Police said Wednesday that on Sept. 26, troopers and detectives raided a home on Glasgow Road in Burkesville, Kentucky, and found Michael’s body inside.
