Jeremy Renner shares video as he recovers in hospital after a snow plow accident
Actor Jeremy Renner celebrates his 52nd birthday in hospital, where he is being treated after being “crushed” by a snowplow that left him with serious injuries.
The Marvel star underwent two surgeries at a Nevada hospital following the “tragic” incident that has left him on a “long road to recovery”.
He had been trying to rescue his car from the snow when he was accidentally run over by the heavy snow plow he had been operating.
“We can confirm that Jeremy suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and underwent surgery today (Jan. 2),” Renner’s family said in their original statement. “He has returned from surgery and is still in critical but stable condition in intensive care.”
On Wednesday (January 4) TMZ obtained the details of the log taken by emergency services at the time, including details of the 911 call that provide further insight into Renner’s direct injuries.
According to the publication, Renner, 51, was audibly moaning in the background of the conversation because of his pain.
The account states that the right side of Renner’s chest had collapsed and his upper body was crushed.
The squad drove over one of the actor’s legs despite a host of safety precautions, leading to major blood loss, a neighbor said.
In his first post since the accident, Renner shared a selfie from his hospital bed with the caption: “Thank you all for your kind words. I am [sic] too crazy to type now. But I am sending you all love.”

Renner received a lot of support from his fans and Marvel co-stars, including Chris Hemsworth, Taika Waititi, and Chris Pratt.

In the clip, obtained by TMZthe helicopter is seen Sunday (Jan. 1), where the accident occurred, from the snowy road near his home in Tahoe.
There is also another video floating around online of someone being airlifted, who has been incorrectly labeled as Racer. In that shot, however, there is no snow on the ground.
During the incident, Renner drove a PistenBully to clear snow.

Oscar-winning actor Marlee Matlin sends ‘get well wishes’ to Renner
Deaf activist and code star Marlee Matlin has sent “get well wishes” to both Renner and American football player Damar Hamlin, who is also currently in critical condition after suffering cardiac arrest on the field.

Do you need a driver’s license to drive a Snowcat?
After the sheriff’s press conference, a reporter asked if anyone could drive a Snowcat or if you needed a license to drive one.
“It was on a private road, so he can drive that Snowcat. In this case, as Mr. Renner always does, those private roads. He was a great neighbor and he plowed those roads for his neighbors up there. Again they had three feet,” Sheriff Balaam replied.
While the Marvel actor has been on private roads, many companies require professional Snowcat operators/drivers to have at least a driver’s license. Some even require their drivers to complete training and certification before using the Snowcat.

Jeremy Renner is a “great neighbor,” says the local sheriff
In recent weeks, Jeremy Renner has become known in his Nevada neighborhood for helping with the rising snow.
According to Sheriff Darin Balaam, the Hawkeye star is a “big neighbor” and always uses his snowplow to clean local roads.
“Throughout the community, he’s been very generous and he’s one of those individuals that you don’t usually know he’s doing, but he’s had a huge impact on this community,” he told US media.
